Guided By Grace Images was formed after several years of dreaming about opening my own business. I began photographing weddings professionally in 1993, and through the years the demand grew to include anniversaries, senior portraits, families and children. My only advertisement was by word of mouth, and boy did the word spread! In 2006, I decided it was time to make the move from traditional 35mm film to digital. The transition took some time but I find that I am loving all the new and exciting directions digital is taking me. My dream became reality when I formed Guided By Grace Images in January of 2007. My desire was to develop a business which I believe in and one I feel will offer an alternative for people seeking the combination of quality, experience and affordability. Several people have asked, "Why 'Guided By Grace Images' as a name?" Well, I'm glad you were asking yourself the same question! I give the honor and glory of this business and for all of my abilities as a photographer as well as an individual to our Lord God and His son, Jesus Christ, who died for us that we would have the choice to believe and receive eternal life. God is the ONLY reason I am here on this earth and only by His "Grace" has He brought me through so many difficult times in my life. He "guides" me through every day and every photography adventure I journey into. Some say I may hurt my business and sales by proclaiming a love for God and voicing my beliefs so publicly, but as I feel both my Grandmothers would say, "it is better to be honest and speak your mind than to hold secret something so great from the rest of the world". I dedicate this business to the special people in my life who influenced me most including my parents, my grandparents, and my great-grand parents. You can't get somewhere on your own, it takes teamwork and support from all sorts of individuals on all levels and God has used them ALL to get me to this very place.
My advice for anyone searching for a photographer is to take the time to meet them face to face. Viewing samples and being satisfied with the package price are just a part of the decision-making process. If you choose a photographer who understands your style and expectations, your day will be that much more enjoyable. I work with my clients well in advance so they can rest assured that their special event will be captured professionally and in entirety.
I have always felt that as a client you should "own your images". With new digital technology surfacing (digital key chains, digital picture frames etc.) and computers in almost every household, clients should be able to enjoy the freedom of sharing their images and creating fun projects like greeting cards, calendars, magnets, webpages etc. Photographic coverage of an event is an investment, and the client should receive more than just a select number of images. I prefer to give clients unlimited access to all images to use at their discretion thus, all my images are "copyright free".
I continue to look for ways to improve the quality of the product and service I offer. Please, contact me anytime using the quick "Contact Photographer" link. Your feedback is welcome and greatly appreciated.
From elegant weddings & on-location senior portraits to the more relaxed family reunions and coverage of your church event, I can cover your special occasion professionally and affordably, enabling you to sit back and enjoy the memories and time with your family and friends.
After all, each moment of your life comes around only once and is gone in an instant...
Why not spend this precious time soaking in the joy and wonder of each magical moment and allow me to do what I do best, capturing the images so that the memories will last forever?
